As someone who has benefited greatly from reading self-help books, I’m convinced that anyone can benefit from self-help if the desire is strong enough. I started reading self-help books a few years ago which helped me to lose more than 100 pounds. Thankfully, both my blood pressure and my blood sugar levels are now in good control because of the weight loss. Obviously, I still have more weight to lose but I am committed to reaching my ideal weight range. As a health care professional, this is a no brainer. The rest of my life is dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle.
While previously engaged in reading self-help books, I also began writing on issues of health. I included a few short stories for children readers also. I’ve put away my nursing uniform and instead I use a notebook to write about matters of health, and keep a shelf full of self-help books handy.
